Gram Parsons Derry Down hosts Brimer & Brixa May 2, 2025, doors at 6 - show at 7 pm.  Tickets $20., advance and $25. day of show.

Local guitarists David Brimer and Marcus Brixa have been writing, recording, and performing together for 3 years. They released their first studio album “Clay Pigeons” in the fall of 2023 and a live album “Recorded Live At The Ghost Light Lounge” in the spring of 2024. On May 2nd of 2025 they will be releasing their second studio album “Sandcastle Sazerac” and presenting an album release concert at Gram Parsons Derry Down.

As “Brimer & Brixa” the two musicians create a unique style which blends elements of folk, jazz, blues, and classical guitar playing into a dazzling and dynamic concert experience. The music on their new album “Sandcastle Sazerac” is entirely original material and displays a broad compositional approach. The duo will perform the album in it’s entirety and will also have physical CD’s of both studio albums available for sale at the concert.

The two guitarists have performed both individually and as a duo for years in Polk County however it is their hope that as “Brimer & Brixa” they will branch out into a larger market and find new and exciting opportunities to perform their music.
